  Alliance for Community Media currently offers two (2) mailing lists created for the purposes of sharing information and providing a forum for discussion of issues of interest.

access-forum

This is a free for all list. Anyone can subscribe, unsubscribe and post messages to the list.
alliance-announce

In order to subscribe to this list, a user will have to be a member of the Alliance. Only users who are a member of the list can post to the list.

Here are some commands you need to use to manage your subscription. Create a blank message in your email program. Begin by addressing the message to the list name (above) and complete the address with:

  • -subscribe@lists.alliancecm.org to subscribe to the listserver.
  • -unsubscribe@lists.alliancecm.org to unsubscribe to the listserver.
  • -info@lists.alliancecm.org to receive info about the listserver.
  • -faq@lists.alliancecm.org to receive a FAQ file.
  • -owner@lists.alliancecm.org to direct questions, concerns or problems about the listserver.

You will receive confirmation messages on most of the commands you send to the system.


If you would like your Alliance-Announce or Access-Forum messages sent in the form of a digest, send the command below.

The digested version will be sent when one of the following criteria has been met:

  • 30 messages have been received.
  • 48 hours have past
  • 64 kb of message body has accumulated.
